In what area or neighborhood do you want your home to be? Have you looked at or cruised neighborhoods to see if they appeal to your family ?
What type of home are you seeking: contemporary, traditional or Victorian: ranch, 2-story or multi-level; fixer upper, bank owned, or move-in ready ? Put your thoughts down on paper.
How much square footage would you like ? If that is unclear or flexible, how many bedrooms or baths do you want ? Do you need a home office area ? Are you more formal or casual in your daily living ?
Why are you buying a new home?
What are the schools like?
Is area recreation important ? Are youth sports important ?
Is the neighborhood, subdivision or town affected more with market trends ? Do they bounce back ? Is the market stable, decreasing or increasing, and what recent sales exist ?
